Erforschen Sie die Webseite des Unternehmens, lesen Sie die News, recherchieren Sie die Unternehmensseite und Mitarbeiter auf LinkedIn und XING sowie den Jahresbericht und den Wettbewerb und finden Sie heraus, ob ihr Gegenüber kürzlich etwas Interessantes publiziert hat und wie er/sie sich präsentiert. Vor allem aber bringen Sie in Erfahrung, was die Business Herausforderungen des Unternehmens sind, welche Vision, Mission und Ziele verfolgt werden, damit Sie das ein oder andere im Interview einbringen und für sich nutzen können. Demonstrieren Sie 100%iges Interesse, indem Sie sich vorstellen schon jetzt für dieses Unternehmen zu arbeiten und bereiten Sie relevante Fragen vor, die Sie Ihrem Gegenüber stellen können.
Auch gibt es viele Webseiten, die die gängigen Interviewfragen auflistet. Preparieren Sie Ihre Antworten und üben Sie auch gern einmal die Interviewsituation als Rollenspiel. Stellen Sie sich schon im Kopf vor, wie Sie den Raum betreten und das Interview erfolgreich abhalten werden.
Das Ziel im Blick & Authentizität
Überlegen Sie sich im Vorfeld genau, welchen Eindruck Sie hinterlassen möchten.
Wie möchten Sie Ihre Person beschreiben, welchen Mehrwert bringen Sie dem Unternehmen und wo sehen Sie sich in der Zukunft. Versetzen Sie sich in Ihr Gegenüber. Wonach genau wird gesucht? Welche Fähigkeiten sind gefragt, um den Job gut auszufüllen? Und, überlegen Sie sich, wie Sie Ihre Stärken erkennbar machen und sich gut vom Rest der Bewerber abheben können.
Behalten Sie Ihre Agenda im Kopf und beantworten Sie Fragen gern auch mit detaillierten Erfolgsgeschichten, die Ihre Qualitäten hervorstechen und lebendig werden lassen, denn dann wird es richtig spannend für den Interviewer. Vor allem aber, bleiben Sie authentisch und wahrheitsgetreu.
Sie werden geprüft, aber Sie prüfen auch den Fit des Unternehmens für sich selbst
So aufregend wie das Interview ist, es wird oft vergessen, dass es eine zweiseitige Situation ist. Denn nicht nur Sie sind auf dem Prüfstand. Der/die zukünftige potentielle Arbeitgeber*in gleichermaßen. Als talentierte*r Bewerber*in haben Sie viele Optionen und Ihr Auftreten kann das transportieren.
Fühlen Sie sich im Bewerbungsprozess gut behandelt? Sind Ihre Fragen geklärt? Passt der Job auch zu Ihren Vorstellungen? Beobachten Sie, ob Ihre Werte mit denen des Unternehmens übereinstimmen und spüren Sie in sich hinein, wie es sich anfühlt. Denn so wie es anfängt wird es aller Voraussicht nach auch weitergehen.

Good preparation & practice
The better your preparation, the easier it will be for you to appear calm and confident.
Explore the company's website, read the news, research the company page and employees on LinkedIn and XING as well as the annual report and competition and find out if your counterpart has published anything interesting recently and how he/she presents him/herself. Most importantly, find out what the company's business challenges are, what their vision, mission and goals are so that you can bring one or two things to the interview and make them work for you. Demonstrate 100% interest by imagining yourself already working for this company and prepare relevant questions to ask your counterpart.
There are also many websites that list common interview questions. Prepare your answers and practice the interview situation as a role play. Imagine how you will enter the room and conduct the interview successfully.
Focus on the goal & authenticity
Think carefully beforehand about the impression you want to make.
How would you like to describe yourself, what added value do you bring to the company and where do you see yourself in the future. Put yourself in the other person's shoes. What exactly are they looking for? What skills are needed to do the job well? And, think about how you can make your strengths stand out set yourself apart from the rest of the applicants.
Keep your agenda in mind and be happy to answer questions with detailed success stories that demonstrate your qualities and bring them to life, because then it will be really exciting for the interviewer. Above all, remain authentic and truthful.
You are being tested, but you are also testing the fit of the company for yourself
As exciting as the interview is, it is often forgotten that it is a two-sided situation. Because it's not just you who is being tested. The future potential employer is as well. As a talented applicant, you have many options and your appearance can convey that.
Do you feel well treated in the application process? Have your questions been answered? Does the job fit your expectations? Observe whether your values match those of the company and feel inside yourself. Because the way it starts will most likely be the way it continues.
